Legal protection covers the company's defence and recovery costs in a dispute — contractual, commercial, or with an opposing insurer.

It pays lawyer fees, expert costs and legal proceedings linked to the activity: disputes with a client or subcontractor, challenging an expert report after a claim, disagreement over a transport contract or works package. It is often underestimated and becomes critical when a claim turns into prolonged litigation.

In construction especially, where disputes over defects or subcontracting are common, and in transport, where cargo and delay recoveries are frequent, this cover limits financial exposure regardless of the outcome.
